Richard Dyer (1983) :

Is a representation theorist who analysed media in general. He examines the ideological and historical significance of film stars. Dyer is interested in issues of entertainment and representation and the relations between them.

Richard dyer said:


'How we are seen determines how we are treated, how we treat others is based on how we see them. How we see them comes from representation.'

Is an ideology theorist that is Anti-Marxist. He argues that through making things, online or offline, we make connections with others and increase our engagement with the world. He has produced a variety of books including 'Media, Gender and identity (2002 second edition)' etc.

Laura Mulvey (1975)


is an ideology and gender theorist who believes that men and women are imbalanced analyzing the way men see women, the way women see themself and others. The theory shows that audiences are forced to view a text from a males side- which is usually done by looking at the three platforms (Films, Internet, Music videos, Magazines etc.)
